Capital Wharf Entrance

Welcome to our website where we, the Capital Wharf Management Company, present our block and its setting in Wapping (a very special area!) and why we love both. With the help of our image gallery, our interactive map and a walk though Wapping we describe what Capital Wharf and Wapping have to offer.

The Basics

We are a mainly brick block of 85 one, two and three bedroom well-appointed flats and penthouses on the riverside at Wapping. All flats have good sized balconies or terraces and almost all overlook the river with views of the Shard and Tower Bridge. There is a gym and 24-hour concierge. The flats are arranged in five towers, each with a lift and stairwell opening onto a hallway giving a comfortable and intimate feel to the two or three flats off each hallway. The flats have long leases and are managed by a Company made up of all the owners who appoint Directors who then appoint and oversee a managing agent.

Transport links are good. Wapping Overground with good connections to the Jubilee and Elizabeth lines is an 8 minutes walk and the Circle and District lines and DLR a 15-20 minutes walk. All these are also served by the 100 bus which travels through the city from St Pauls to Shadwell with a stop next to Capital Wharf. A short walk away there is the D3 bus with links to Canary Wharf.

Wapping

Many areas of London started as small communities which were gradually absorbed into Greater London whilst maintaining their own personalities. Wapping is no exception with many reminders of its industrial past, but it now has a “village” centre with a post office, butcher, chemist, health centre and more. See our local links. Ours is a predominately low-rise residential area, quiet, but with easy access to Canary Wharf, the City and lively St Katherine Docks Marina.

Badly bombed during the war, but sympathetically developed incorporating the remaining historic buildings and making good use of the old dock areas. You can walk from one side of Wapping to the other in less than half an hour, but within this area there is an amazing number of facilities and opportunities. There are many green areas with mature trees, a sports centre, a canoeing and sailing centre, famous pubs, restaurants and coffee shops and children’s playgrounds.

There are a number of smaller convenience stores and a Waitrose as well as schools and places of worship. Take a look at the image gallery or our interactive map or take a walk though Wapping with us and find out more about the block and its surroundings.
